Disaster Risk Reauction and Humanitarian Response

PSDN plays a critical role in disaster preparedness, risk reduction, and timely humanitarian response. Through capacity building and rapid assistance, we help communities recover and rebuild in the aftermath of natural and human-induced disasters.

Nepal is one of the 20 most disasters-prone country in the world. Hundreds of lives are losses in each year due to induced water related diseases and similarly many people are losing theirs lives and livelihoods from others types of different natural and human made disasters: earthquake, flood, landslide, drought, extreme temperature, fire, glacier lake outburst flood, thunder etc. PSDN Nepal is able and striving to save lives and livelihoods of vulnerable people of Nepal though community-based disaster risk reduction (DRR) and disaster response and recovery program to make ability to save lives, restore essential services, and rebuild affected communities to a more resilient state.
